article adaptation

Grime, a unique mash-up of musical influences, started in East London around 15 years ago, and is now more popular than ever.

There are big rappers in the east of London which creates beef because every rapper wants to be the best. Jhus and Kojo funds are the top dogs in the east side, however they have beef with each other. It didn't start in music, however it was mainly area gang beef. But they took it to music and made diss tracks on each other. This is good for the music industry because they are giving each other popularity and making good music.

However this could effect the young generation of music before they will have to chose a side and they might be influenced my jhus and kojo to be in gangs and make disstracks on each other, which may get out of hand.

Jhus is a 21 year old east london rapper. His debut title hit the east london with advertisements on westfield billboard, yet the sound of his music is not to be confused with plain old grime. Jhus leads a the group of MCs who blend the genre of a distinctly UK flow with bashment and afrobeat. In the album common sense, J Hus shows us about partying, chasing girls and being a "bouf daddy" like one of his song titles. J Hus is a motivational speaker shown in his music too. The gunshot-littered claritin and goodies are far harder than any recent grime tracks with its upbeat tempo which really banged.

Kojo Funds is an emerging artist redefining the music genre lines. Hailing from East London, where the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Kano, Lethal B & Wiley have emerged from, he is creating a major buzz in the music scene. His sound can be described as AfroSwing. He can go from Grime to R&B in a flash without breaking the listeners ear drums whilst doing so. The growth of the artist from ‘Want From Me’ to ‘Fine Wine’ demonstrates his artistic ability. With “Dun Talkin’’ a collaboration with Abra Cadabra (Mobo 2016 Best Song Winner), creating a stir in the UK and beyond, the world is on notice for what this talented young man is ready to showcase.
